38 weeks 2 days

Had my weekly check up today. The doctor says I'm 50% effaced but not dilated yet. I'm scheduled for c section next Thursday as a repeat c section. But today my doctor kept saying "babies make their own birthdays" and he doesn't see me making another week. I lost my mucus plug Sunday and have been having good contractions since off and on. Is there anyone else with similar situation that could give a little advice as to when my little guy may make his appearance?
