Husband won’t help with baby at night
My husband is on paternity leave. He doesn’t fully support me breastfeeding because he feels I am signing up for more work when I don’t have to, I pumped with our toddler.
I’ve been taking the baby nearly every single night. I haven’t had more than 2 hrs of sleep at a time, maybe 5 hrs total a night.
Last night was our first night home with the baby together (he didn’t stay overnight in the hospital so he could care for our toddler) which he constantly begged for me home and I went home a day early from my c section.
Last night at home, he kept complaining how he couldn’t sleep at all with the baby in the room although I took him majority of the night.
I told him ok and I slept on the couch so he could get a good nights sleep in the bedroom.
I woke him up around 230am asking for help with just 1 diaper change at night and a burp and swaddle because I’m so tired and I wanted to eat something since I didn’t eat dinner.
He did it and then made the comment “I’ll be lucky if I can fall back asleep now” and stormed off.
Am I being unreasonable asking for help or should I just do it myself?
