Funding IVF

Hi Ladies,

After 16months of trying and being heart broken we are looking down the route of IVF.

I can’t get a loan due to bad credit.

My other half can, but we are not well off in that respect. We both have good jobs but IVF is a huge amount of money.

I feel like this is the one and only time I could ask my parents for help. Specifically my mum. But we are not close and talking to her about these things would really not be easy.

Is it weird that I’m 36 and embarrassed to tell my mum we are TTC?

How do I even start? I really don’t expect a large amount of help. But even £200 towards the initial tests would be a big help.

My head is frazzled with baby heart ache and IVF options. This is really hard.

Not sure if anyone else can relate or has any or advice. I just needed to vent. 🥲
