Did he see his ex?

I get married in 18 days to my fiancé He posted the announcement and 2 days later his ex from 2 exs ago sends a 5 page letter on instagram saying how she still love him and sorry for their past blah blah .

She says in the letter “thankyou for risking what you got to be there for me when I hit you up that’s just shows you still care for me”

We have a rule where if anyone from our past contacts us we tell each other …He told me about all the messages he’s received AFTER the post but in the letter she mentions our daughter should’ve been their daughter and she’s so beautiful. But because we agreed not to post her I’m like how does she know? So I ask him and he admits after stalling that she reached out 2 weeks before saying her mom died . Now I don’t have a problem with him messaging her because when we first dated he mentioned her said they dated 4 years then she deleted social media changed her number and moved without saying goodbye or breaking up . So he never got closure . But She ended up being disrespectful in the paper too saying she doesn’t want him to get married and to come back to her .

So that line doesn’t sit right with me . He’s saying he was there for her through texts . He told her we getting married before the announcement was even posted . But what’s the “risk” if she lost her mom and he only said sorry for your loss asked if she was ok & a mini catch up that they both have kids now or whatever (I didn’t see their messages it was deleted ) but whatever was said that got deleted made her think about him and send that long letter …

Should I ask her what she meant or let it go ?

UPDATE #1- I messaged and asked her what she meant by it and she left me on read . I told him I messaged her and he tells me that she begging him to meet up with her but he claims he didn’t . So initially he said he thought he handled it didn’t want me to worry and deleted it but now it seems like he did link up with her and that’s what he deleted . So I got my answer in a way .

@realist- he says he deleted it because he didn’t want me to change my mind about marrying him and he thought he handled it by keeping it short and telling her he’s getting married and moved on then when she sent the paragraph he saw he didn’t handle it and told me but yes he still left out they talked before

@molly- no she didn’t post anything he posted our wedding flyer and she messaged him a long letter in his dms and he showed me . 10 min after it was sent . Cuz I’m sure he read it 1st. But the first messages were deleted .
