Just turned 2 & not saying at least 50 words
* Only posting this here cause this is an active group*
My son just turned two last week, he says words like mama, mom, dada, mine, go, move, thank you, yay, hmm, etc… he understands things a lot, if he see you putting something up he’ll help you put it away, twists door knobs, when he’s accomplished something or someone else accomplish something he’ll clap & get excited, helps me put clothes, shoes & socks on, can brush his own teeth, can bathe, knows what goes with what, turns the tv on himself, takes what he wants out of the refrigerator, if I tell him to give me something he’ll give it to me, etc, knows how to peel oranges, knows how to take the stem off of grape’s & everything but when he got to his pediatrician today for a check up he just cried(maybe cause the last time he got shots & he’s a shy baby & all three… 2 nurses & one doctor he had never met them before ) anyways he wouldn’t say not one word for them & didn’t want them to touch him he kept pushing them when they would come close with a tool to check his eyes & ears…. Anyways Igs they were trying to say he’s behind because the doctor said he isn’t saying 50 words(he probably can say more words than what i named but those are the ones he use the most although I know he isn’t saying 50 words yet) he don’t say a lot of stuff but when I’m talking to him and I say stuff he knows exactly what I mean like if I tell him to go get his cup or bring me something or come here & when I call his name he looks & come, he knows my Nick name & all of that. I said that to ask this, if your two year old that just turned two isn’t saying 50 words does that automatically mean they’re behind?
