Can you find out baby gender at 36 week growth scan?

I know that the bits will all be there but we haven’t had any scans since 7w so curious if we can ask for the sonographer whether it’s a boy or girl while we’re there since it’s an atypical time to find that information out.

I'm having growth scans this pregnancy and they were able to still see gender at 34 and 36 weeks. We are having a boy though so probably easier to spot 🤷‍♀️

Yeah you can just ask. I’m having growth scans and since my baby has had its hands in between it’s legs for both my 20w and 22w scans I am getting the final confirmation at 24w growth scan. Lol although I had a private nub theory scan at 13w and she said girl and my doc is 85% it was correct since she could see what seemed like two of the female confirming lines in one image but yes they will most likely look for you!

You can ask them to take a look but it’s not guaranteed they’ll be able to see since the umbilical cord can get in the way or the way your baby is positioned is also a factor. It doesn’t hurt to ask. If not, I would suggest going to a place that does 3d/4d Ultrasounds to see just in case baby doesn’t want to cooperate. Good luck!
