Does a one night stand & a side chick/fwb mean the same thing to you ?

April I found a hotel key card in my bf laundry he said it was his friends card he left in his car he was going to drop it off but he got a new card instead . He even offered to call his friend and the hotel to back up his story but I declined . I never really let it go though and yesterday (4months later) he randomly told me the truth .

Said he downloaded an app under a fake name was on it for a week and met up with the first girl and had sex with her at the hotel. The app got deactivated after that night and he admit he did give her his phone number and they spoke on FaceTime before he reserved the room to make sure she wasn’t catfish . He said the room was for 1 night but he left her there . Said he only got head from her not sex . Then left . He said for months he tried to figure out to tell me and that he thought about not telling me because there was no way I’d find out he says that was the first time he cheated on me too.

Basically everything I asked he answered. He even said he’ll do therapy to help us get though it because he knows he hurt me and wants me to trust him again.

I know cheating is cheating

But does it make a difference if it was one night stand or more than 1 hookup /multiple women ???
