How soon can I test? Pleaseee help

I started ovulating yesterday & we had unprotected sex. No pull out method, which we have been using since I got my IUD out a couple of months ago. How soon would a positive test show up? I’m supposed to get my new IUD on the 13th when they do a D&C to check some stuff out. But the “surgery” could cause a lost pregnancy if I was pregnant. Should I just tell my doctor? Please help! I never had a woman figure to talk to so I feel clueless & so stupid. Please be nice with suggestions.

How are you tracking ovulation? There’s not a “start” or “stop”, ovulation is a one-day event. You can test right around the same time as your appointment but chances are they’ll ask if there’s a chance you could be pregnant and they’d give you a pregnancy test anyway

Unless ur actively tracking ovulation via OPKs & basal body temping, then there’s no way to know if/when ur actually ovulating or close it. The app is simply a guess & isn’t very accurate. That said, u need to wait at least 2 weeks to take a test. Either way, u should definitely inform ur doctor so they are aware of the situation & can proceed as they see fit.
