Is this normal

I went on a couple dates with this guy and we get a long well. We don’t have a ton in common but we converse just fine. I went to his house for the first time yesterday and idk if it’s normal but the whole time I was really hoping he wouldn’t try to kiss me. I knew he wanted to. I haven’t dated anyone in a few years so I’m just getting into it again. We were being cuddly and watching a movie which was fine but I was anxious at the thought of him being more intimate with me. Normally intimacy isn’t an issue. Idk if I should keep trying or just let it go

Maybe it was to soon for me to see him so comfortable.
