Anyone here cloth diaper?

Anyone here already into cloth diapers and could maybe explain some of it to me??

I wish I was into it due to the money savings but I was older when my baby sister was born and we cloth diapered her and I hated the laundry. I admire all of you who do it!

We are cloth diapering. Due in May. It's expensive to get started but then you are set and self sustaining. The money savings plus how soft the cloth diapers are compared to disposable are my reasons. I would much rather sit in a soft microfiber pad then a diaper. Plus, no chemicals or bleach near your baby's gentle areas. Im excited. We are probably doing cloth wipes as well bc it will be easier to just throw them in wash with diapers. If your breastfeeding you just throw everything in wash without pre rinsing. We are using Charlie banana brand pocket diapers, probably a $400 investment but all the diapers we will ever need and we can reuse them with future children.

Babys not due yet but I'm set on using cloth. My husband is on board too so I'm happy for that. My parents have already said that they will be using disposable diapers and that's fine but I'm not buying them.

I bought a few from Kellys Closet like 4. They recommend that you have 16 to 20 pairs for a newborn so you're not having to do laundry everyday.  Well 20 × $20 is $400 and not really what i wanted to spend so i did a little more research and found amazing prices on Amazon.  Theres sets of at least 6 diapers or more for under $40.

Originally I was set on All in ones but pocket diapers seem pretty simple.  i suggest creating a registry with Amazon and registering for at least 20 newborn diapers and 20 8-35lb pocket diapers. Make sure you read the reviews. I didn't select anything that had less than 4 stars on amazon.

YouTube and Pinterest both have a lot of info on CDs.

Building my stash.  I also, will get 10 more covers this week sometime.   The black thing is actually my ring sling.   I'm storing all my baby stuff in the tote but I got one more diaper since that pic was taken.   Those are all inserts under the diapers.

I'm planning on CD but this is my first as well. We watched lots of YouTube videos to find out about different types and I joined a couple cloth diapering fb groups in my area. We're trying several different types at first so we can figure out what works best for us and babe and it's nice to get them used. So much cheaper!
