Is HE ready for sex????

Ugh I need help.  So last night on New Years, my boyfriend dropped some not so subtle hints that he wants to have sex. I want to have sex too, but we've only been dating for two and a half months. He's a great guy, and I love him (still haven't told him that bit yet)  but I've never moved this fast in a relationship before, physically or emotionally.  I'm mainly worried that since he's a virgin and I'm not, if we have sex, that's all our relationship will become! I've been in a relationship before where that happened and it's one of the many reasons that relationship failed. I don't want to alienate this relationship by having sex. What should I do?
