Used bassinet?

Ladies, I found a used Halo Bassinest on Craigslist and I'm going to check it out tomorrow. The owner lives not too far from me and her baby used it for five months, per the usual. Any reason to be hesitant about a used bassinet, as long as the home in which it's in and the product itself look clean?

I think it's fine! I bought my daughters crib at a yard sale, she's still using it as a day bed.

Just check it for stains, smells, tears, etc. if it looks/smells ok then go for it. Also make sure you clean it up yourself real good when you bring it home.

I don't see anything wrong with used items. Just wash the items before use. I'm sure you know but just make sure you have another person with you when you go check it out.

You could always wash/clean it yourself. Baby isn't going to use it long if at all anyway. With my first I bought EVERYTHING brand new (car seat, stroller, bassinet, pack n play, crib, high chair, swing) & the only thing she liked was the car seat! 😒 Needless to say I learned my lesson....

No, I got a used bassinet which looks perfect and saved me money just like my used crib and some baby clothes. As long as you wash it before hand, you'll be good 👍

Just get a new mattress so it's still firm,  standards have changed over time and having a baby previously use it will soften the mattress too

I bought a cradle from a thrift shop for $20 and then another $25 for the new mattress!
