He doesn't care does he?

So I have been seeing this guy for over 2 months now. He is kind of robotic, like he works like a machine and doesn't get carried away and sticks to his rules. Well, we keep staying over at each other's place but I suppose I'm still not his girlfriend. And when I asked him about where we stood he was like 'well we're not seeing other people but I haven't thought about it'. Is that a normal reaction and am I just over thinking it? Also he doesn't really talk about his past and doesn't care about knowing much about me either. He's an engineer. Please tell me if I'm being a complete drama queen right now?!
