Pregnancy testing question
Before I get to the actual question, I should give some background info...
My husband and I have been ttc for 28 months now. Almost 2 years ago I found out I had a 12.8 cm cyst on my right ovary, which had to be removed. The cyst had consumed my ovary, and so it was removed as well. During testing they discovered that it was pre-tumor and contained ovarian cancer cells. I was completely blessed and didn't have to go through any other procedures. All of the cancer was removed with the cyst. I do have to see an oncologist regularly for lab work. All the doctors involved have said that I should still be able to get pregnant. Over this past summer I had my first appointment with a fertility specialist. I've been on two fertility medications, clomid and Letrozole.
In November I had another surgery to remove endometriosis. I was on birth control 7 weeks prior to the surgery and the following 2 weeks. I have been off of the pills for almost 3 weeks now, and tested positive for ovulation this cycle. This app suggested that I take a pregnancy test yesterday, 7 days before my next cycle would begin. The test was clearly negative. Is there any chance that it was negative simply because I tested sooner than I should have? I think the app might have my cycle days out of wack because while o was on the pill nothing was normal.
I've already been through the vast emotions that follow negative tests. I don't want to get my hopes up any if there isn't any possibility of having a negative result due to testing too soon.
Thank you!
