How bad was your engorgement when you first started breast feeding?

Also, did you have any labor interventions? I truly believe the fluids from my induction made everything worse!

Induction to emergency c-section, then second was no induction straight to emergency c-section. Engorgment was wild bad both times. The moment my babies cried my let down flooded the gates.

Also two intervention free home births! I looked like Dolly Parton both times. Highly uncomfortable but it regulates at about the 3 week mark if you aren't doing things like pumping that can increase supply. Preparing to look like Dolly again in October lol.

I had two intervention free home births, and I had terrible engorgement both times. I wore shells in my bra for the first three weeks day and night to catch leaks, and I collected about 700ml a day that way. My breasts were rock solid no matter how much I nursed. (And with my second, I was still nursing my toddler)

My first it lasted only a day, with my second it lasted 4-5 days. Both were pretty painful. Both I had an epidural for but no induction. Icing between feeds helped and making sure I didn't pump or take any extra milk out to ensure I wouldn't cause an oversupply helped too. It's definitely painful and super uncomfortable. Hope it ends soon!

My first baby i remember it was pretty painful and my second wasnt too bad but my third it was awful. Just when my milk was first coming in. After that it wasnt too bad because i could nurse or pump to relieve it
