My one year old slept by herself for the first time last night

Backstory;

My husband and I have 3 kids and I’m due any day with baby #4. We live in a tiny 2 bedroom house. I keep telling him that we outgrew the house. There’s a queen bed in our room and queen in the other room.

I haven’t slept with my husband since my second was born in 2020. He insists on sleeping with our oldest in his room.

I told my husband that we need to get bunk beds or something and our two boys (oldest and second oldest) needs to be sharing a room. He gets mad at the idea and says, “we only get a short amount of time with them. Life is too short”

I understand that. But I am soooo tired of washing my bed sheets every single day because my 3 year old and 1 year old pees my bed. I am sooooo tired of having to go to bed when they do because they can’t sleep without me. Im sooo tired of waking up every 2 hours because they want ‘baba’. I’m sooo tired of not getting time to myself, getting to clean— etc.

I feel like I’m missing out on not getting to tuck them into their beds and reading them a bedtime story and telling them goodnight and shutting the door.

It’s awful.

We have a mini crib (was going to use it for the baby) but my mom bought him a big bedside bassinet. So I thought, “why don’t I try letting my daughter sleep here?”

It was successful. She slept like a big girl! Sooo proud of her.

I told my husband and he said, “it’s your fault if she falls out the crib. She looks uncomfortable.” 😞😣
