16 year old just plays Sims all day

All summer all my 16 year old has done was play Sims. While my other kids were hanging out with friends and boyfriends/girlfriends he was just playing Sims at home. He did work a temporary part time job at the fireworks stand but when he's home and he's playing Sims. I guess I just wish he would do something else with his time. I never really wanted to raise a son who just plays video games and ignores his gf. He doesn't have one right now but eventually he will want one. Just can't believe he spent a whole summer playing Sims when he could have been doing real world stuff.
