Should I sign the lease with my boyfriend

This is my first time being in serious relationship for a long time. I don’t mind or rush anything into anything, my boyfriend asked me to move in with him which I agreed. We’ve been together for 7 or 8 months, but not a years come yet. He’s has a lot of more experienced than me, cause I’m younger than him. We’ve been looking for apartments. I was thrilled and exited. I had told my mom, she gave me a motherly advice like any mom would do to look out for her childrens. Like I said it’s gonna be my first place but my mom thinks it’s best not to sign the lease but I can help pay rents & bills. Better to be safe than sorry to not break the lease if something between us break up . I kinda do wanna sign the lease but my mom been looking out for me and my bff told me don’t, she experienced this before.I rather help pay bills and rent. It’ll be easy to just walk away without complicated situations which I don’t wanna mess up my credit score and break the lease.I don’t know how to break into my boyfriend. I told him about my second thoughts he’s mad at me and haven’t been talking to since yesterday. He been staying with me at my moms,We found the place but we haven’t sign the lease yet. It wasn’t my intentions I just feel overwhelmed
