Avent Bottles

Amber

If anyone could help me on this I would greatly appreciate it. Ima be a first time mom so this is all new to me.

I got the Phillips Avent bottles - natural nipple.

On the box it says for 0m+ but as me and my husband are washing/sanitizing the number on the nipple says 2 - which is for the flow. Im like ehh that seems like the flow maybe a little too fast for a newborn. So making sure we filled the bottle with water and turned it upside down and no flow, no drip, nothing for 30 seconds. So my husband sucked on the nipple and he said he barely got any water out and he was actually putting some force behind it.

Should I go up a size and buy 3 flow ? Some of the comments/reviews that I’ve read have said that a 2 flow is too fast for newborns, so then I’m considering should I buy 1 flow? It’s very confusing. Just if any moms have any experience with these bottles & nipples I would appreciate the advice lol
