Missed period, was off the patch for a month.

So I was off the birth control patch for about a month because my old doctor stopped giving me refills and I figured it was time to get a doctor in my new town anyway. I’ve been on the patches since I was about 17 (currently 21) consistently without stopping for a month before. Recently, I am late on my period about 7 days now. Its usually very consistent give or take a day (even before birth control). I got my refills and now have a new patch on (about 2 days into when I should’ve gotten my period). Me and my partner were active, but used condoms in conjunction with pulling out (lol I know not effective on its own but figured with condoms it would help). I took a pregnancy test on the 3rd late day (not sure if this is too early) and it was clearly negative. Should I still be worried? Is my late period because of the month I was off birth control?
