Type 2 diabetes
So I didn’t know I had type 2 diabetes until I got pregnant and had to see a specialist. She started me on a high dose and injections 5 times a day (I weighed 305 ) but she kept upping the dose to where I was taking 48units at night 10 in the morning 4 for lunch 4 for breakfast and 6 for dinner…. I gained weight in the beginning I made it to 320 but in a 2 week time period I lost 5-6 pounds then as of Friday I lost a total of 9 pounds that brought me to 311 ….I stopped taking it last week because I was not eating after getting my dose raise…i have to think common sense at some point because I’m losing weight and my baby isn’t gaining like he used to sooo I stopped taking it and my appetite is coming back…I understand these people have degrees but at some point you got to take matters in your own hands I felt so guilty and thought I was doing something completely wrong when it was just my doctor putting me on way to much medication (insulin )to fast and had me on a carb restriction diet and when she was questioned she got defensive and tried to lie and say the goal was “not” to lose weight then tried to brush it off my dropping to 38 units i just need to know if I did the right thing I feel like i have …I’ve only been on insulin two/three months….I’m 7 months pregnant I was 3 months when I got out I had diabetes
