Feeling guilty?

Question

Do any of you ever have moments of feeling guilty about switching to or using formula? I definitely think it was the best choice for me and my son, but ever so often I have moments when I feel bad about it.

Absolutely. Not necessarily making myself feel guilty. It comes from others. Just the other day i was asking advice for my LO constipation and my mother in law states it was because he's not breasted and his tummy isn't strong enough for formula. So that's when I feel guilty. Like everything health wise that goes wrong I atuomatically think its my fault for not breastfeeding him.

Yep definately. I had so many issues BF I would have loved to have done it exclusively, but wasn't meant to be. 😢 switching to FF saved me but I do feel bad often even though I should not!

Yes, I have been formula feedings as soon as she was born. Her schedule is regular an she is a good little sleeper an I know it's because she is full, but now I'm starting to feel awful that maybe I should have tried a little harder? I know she is healthy, but other people's options never help 😔

I didn't feel guilty. I tried for about a week with my daughter to breastfeed and it just was not going well for either of us. She would not latch and turned her face away, but took to a bottle and formula really well. I had her in June, it was hot, my boobs were HUGE and extremely painful and hard like 2 giant rocks hanging off my chest. Since she wasn't eating from me, I was so engorged and even when I tried to pump, hardly anything came out and it didn't releive my pain at all 😫 I know that I tried really hard to breastfeed, but neither of us enjoyed it in the end. As long as your baby is fed and happy, I think formula or breastfed are perfectly okay and you shouldn't feel guilty! 💕😊

Not at all! We are both happy and healthy. Only thing I hate is having to pay for it! I wish it wasn't so expensive 😟

Yes all the time. Sometimes I'm totally okay with it and sometimes I feel absolutely worthless.
