Positive test 5 weeks after medical abortion

I had a medical abortion 5 weeks ago. 2 weeks after I went to my follow up appointment and everything was clear. My ultra sound showed that the pregnancy was successfully terminated. 2 days ago I took 2 tests and both came back positive. Went back to the doctor today, took another test there and came back positive as well. My doctors couldn’t tell me if it was a new pregnancy or if my hormone levels just weren’t back to normal yet. So we did blood work now I’m waiting for results. I’ve had unprotected sex once since my abortion and my partner pulled out. I’m confused if I could be pregnant again or not.
