Ultrasound discomfort
I went in for my 12 week ultrasound today and while they were doing the external scan they were pushing so hard that it hurt. My first baby was a C-section and I had nerve damage from the surgery. While they were scanning they were on my scar and it was extremely uncomfortable. The whole scan was over 30 minutes and the whole time I was staying as relaxed as possible. Now even hours later my lower stomach feels bruised. When I walk or sit it’s uncomfortable. I have a high pain tolerance so it’s just really more annoying than anything. My stepmom is an ultrasound tech and asked me if they had me scan with a full bladder and I told her they didn’t give me any instructions at all. She said that’s why they had to push so hard and why it hurt.
Has anyone else experienced this? Can I put ice or a heating pad on it? Or just kind of deal with it?
