Early October baby :)

Due date was Oct 17th. Was induced on Oct 7th at 38wks 4 days due to Preeclampsia. I arrived at the hospital at 10 am, and I was already 3cm dilated. Started my induction with Pitocin at 1245pm. Reached 6cm at 3:20pm. Got the epidural at 4pm. Water was broken at 4:55pm. After 2 hours, my contractions were very painful and meds weren't working well anymore. Got an epidural topup at 7pm. Baby boy came just after 9pm, after half hour of pushing. No tears thankfully, just a scratch. We we're good to go home the next morning. Was a good experience overall. Had great nurses and doctors this time around too. My midwife had to transfer my care over to the hospital OBs last minute, due to my preeclampsia. But she was there during my delivery and ended up taking over halfway through pushing, because the OB got called away for another delivery on the unit :) This was my 4th birth, and first time getting an epidural. Loved the experience more than my natural deliveries, and will definitely go the epidural route again if possible.
