My partner needs Dvt surgery

Long story short my partner’s second ultrasound for his dvt showed it’s not getting better as fast as they hoped and his drs decided that he need’s surgery. Right now I’m the only one working and we have two children. Which we don’t have anyone to care for them except us. I’m curious as to what your experience was if you needed surgery for a dvt. Like what’s recovery like/time? Was there a hospital stay? Was there anything that helped your dvt recovery? Looking for any and all advice as this is new to us. ❤️
