Adult acne?

Question

I'm 25 and still struggle with acne. Not on birth control because we are ttc. Does anyone have any remedies, tips, tricks or medication that's safe when ttc or pregnant? It's not just regular pimples, it's these red, painful ones that are kind of like a cyst? Only clear fluid would come out if I squeezed. Blah tmi. Currently keeping my face clean, wear minimal make up, use acne toner and wash. Same brand.

I wash my face with charcoal cleanser and coconut oil.  I switch back and forth. Use one in the morning and the other at night. It has made a huge difference and my face is clear apart from the few stops in my hairline.

This might sound crazy but for something natural try apple cider vinegar & water. Vinegar kills off bacteria & balances the pH of your skin.. & like lemon juice its an astringent, which dries up the oil! :) i used this during my middle school years when I had horrrrrible acne & it worked wonders, of course everyones different so theres no guarantee this will work for you. In case you wanna try it out, here are the directions.

Wash your face with water first then pat dry. Use 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water, dip a cotton ball into the vinegar and apply it directly to the problem areas. Leave that on for at least 10 minutes, or overnight. Reapply several times a day, and make sure to wash your face thoroughly after each time. Also Make sure to use a moisturizer afterwards as well if you feel like your skin is getting dry. :)

Have you tried an exfoliating face cloth? If you use normal cleanser & toner & then wash your face with this it will ensure your face is fully clean, I started this & it made a real difference & also don't use acne cleanser & toner as they make your skin worse, try something natural with no perfumes etc.

You can wash your face with an anti-bacterial soap, make sure it has no scent added because that can irritate your skin even more. Also you may not be using the right cleanser for your skin type and that can cause the acne to get worse no matter how often you wash your face. If none of that helps the best option is going to see an esthetician, sometimes they can help you figure out the best way to set up a skin care routine, or go see a dermatologist explain to them that you are trying to get pregnant but at the same time you are wanting to try to clear up the acne and they should be able to help.

Try African black soap and biore charcoal products! Charcoal helps unclogg the pores. I've suffered from acne since middle school. I try to stay away from harmful chemicals in washes. Also take a vitamin everyday if you're not already!
