She broke my heels…
This isn’t a rant, but I couldn’t find a mom group to post in.
My kiddos are at their grandmas for the night, I just dropped off some clothes. While there my oldest was talking to her grandma about how I was walking in heels one day. I was confused because I never did what she said. I have two pairs of heels for special occasions, but I don’t wear them because I literally CANT walk in them. 😅
Anyways, it comes out tonight that she broke one pair a while ago and instead of coming to me she hid them because she wanted to make sure I didn’t know. This really got me upset. 1.) She hid it from me. Why not come out and say hey mom I was playing in your shoes and broke a heel! 2.) She doesn’t see what she did is wrong. She took something that didn’t belong to her. I get that it wasn’t intentional, that’s okay. But to hide it from me and laugh about it? I’m frustrated. She thinks super glue will fix it…. I had to explain 3 times super glue won’t help especially since she threw the heel away.
I’ve exhausted my brain trying to explain why I was upset and why it was wrong to break something and not tell me about it.
Can anyone help with how to word it to make sure she doesn’t break something again only to hide it? Like I wouldn’t have been mad had she came to me.
