Polyhydramnois?

Question

Anyone diagnosed with Polyhydramnios? If so how’s it been going for you? Recently diagnosed with it and the Dr doesn’t seem to considered and just told me it just means I have extra fluid.. ofcourse I googled it to get more information and it seems to be a more serious thing then what my Dr. is making it out to be.. 
Just curious if anyone else have been diagnosed with this and how they’ve been handling it?

I had it with my last pregnancy, diagnosed at 28 weeks and it’s not as terrifying as google tells us. Based on the excess of fluid level will depend on the severity. So I was a medium to severe case, I got non-stress tests every 2 weeks, ultrasound every 2 weeks to track the excess fluid. During pregnancy isn’t what’s concerning it’s during the birth. So if you are able to have your water break naturally it’s suggested to go to the hospital right away as the excess fluid can cause an aggressive decent of baby and pose potential safety risks for baby. 
My water broke naturally, I went to the hospital right away, they tracked everything, checked babies position and heart rate more frequent than a typical birth to assure he wasn’t in any danger. I ended up needing a c section after 16 hours of labor🙃 my body just wouldn’t dilate but baby was a healthy 8lb 13 oz 💞

I have just been diagnosed last week and now I’m going in every 2 weeks for ultrasounds. I do have gestational diabetes as well and was told that could play into the excess fluids. My doctor told me not to google because it would just scare me but they are keeping a close eye on it and everything will be fine 😊
