6 year old boys bathroom always smells like pee

We have 2 bathroomsin our house, 1 is right next to my sons room so we let him "have"(its the one that most of our guests use too) it. I have to wash it daily or it smells like pee really bad. My husband thinks pur son starts peeing before aiming for the toilet. Anyone have any ideas on helping him not pee all over everything? I've tried getting him to just sit down to pee but he never does.
