How much do you spend on your child at Xmas?

How much does everyone spend on their kid for Xmas? Also what age are your kids and what did you get them?

We don’t have a budget. My son just turned 3 in October. As of now his list is coming in around $3K-$4K. We buy a lot of wood toys so he’s getting more wooden foods and accessories for his play kitchen, I’m also upgrading his ikea kitchen to a different wooden kitchen, he’s getting books, art supplies, more wooden tracks and trains and we are doing some experiences with him for Christmas and New Years. We also hold back a lot of his birthday gifts that he gets and add them under the tree and spread them out during the year.

Mine are 11, 3 and 1. I depend less when they are really little. My 1 year old has 3 gifts, about $70. My middle I would say $150-$200. And about $200-$300 for my oldest (he has expensive taste)

I have a 15 year old, 13 year old, a 20month old and my step kids that are 15 and 12. We say $250-$300 per kid but that goes out the window almost immediately. Toddler, easy to load him up with great gifts and stay on budget. 4 teens/tweens, easier said than done 🫣🤶🎁

Not much. We have a 2 year old, a 3 year old, and another on the way. We don't believe kids need a lot of toys and keep their toys very minimal. They only have 3 small milk crates of toys. We usually get an outfit or 2, a book, a toy, a sensory toy/activity, motor skill toy/activity, something they need, something to do like an experience gift, and sometimes a memorable item. If the kids don't need anything they get extra money put towards their college/wedding/car/house down payment funds. We choose which fund to contribute more towards. This year we got each child 2 outfits, a book, and a day to one of their favorite places. Our oldest is getting a motor skill toy, replacement toddler bed (we're donating hers to a family in need), and art supplies. Our youngest is getting a sensory toy, a jacket, and some handmade farm animal toys.

My husband and i will spend $250 max on our two year old this year. Planning to get some dress up outfits, magna tiles, art supplies, and kitchen stool so she can help in the kitchen. Extended family members who want to give her gifts were asked for books or Barnes and Noble gift cards.

We’re budgeting about $75 per child… they’re 4 and 1 (almost 5 and 2).
We got them each a kindle kids tablet for their big gift… I got a really great price on them earlier in the year so they were about $50 each. We also do a special “Christmas Eve package from Santa” that “appears” under the tree on Christmas Eve. They’re getting new toothbrushes, toothpaste, a story to read together before bed, and some hot chocolate or a little snack each. We’re also doing Christmas pjs.
I’m really trying to focus more on the experience and bringing magic to their Christmas rather than getting more stuff for them. They will get gifts from grandparents and aunts and uncles too, so I’m not worried about them feeling like they’re left out or didn’t get anything.

Too much. And they like it for a while and then it's forgotten about. I have 4 boys ages 9,7,5&3. We're scaling it back this year on gifts and taking a mini trip with them. We will still have gifts for them, and we do Santa in our home so they'll still get gifts. I've ordered some of those magnetic tiles for my 5 year old, and a series of books for my 9 year old. But I'm really lost myself on what to get them 😂

Wayyyyyyy too much i imagine haha. My sons 16 months old and i think im up to 6500 🤣🤣🤣 but thats not just toys and shit haha. Its some larger items as well.
