Husband threw mattress

I’m pregnant and I asked my husband if he could switch our mattress around because it was starting to get uncomfortable. He’s been putting it off and putting it off. If I could do it myself, I totally would have. I’ve done it before. He finally, finally decided he would do it tonight but got pissed that he had to do any of it, so he picked up our mattress and just threw it as hard as he could up on the box springs.. causing our bed frame to slam up against our bedroom wall and it just scared me..

This isn’t the first time he’s gotten mad like this over nothing.. last time he took a hammer to his project car and was hitting it so hard, it was scaring our 2 yr old inside and freaking me out. I had to go out and tell him to stop. He completely smashed in the fender with a hammer. His dad also has a quick temper. The things his dad says to his mom make me want to be a fly on the wall outside. I don’t know what to do to help his anger and he knows I’ve only been in abusive relationships so this stuff really scares me.
