Bridesmaids and white shoes?

One of my bridesmaids who has been super sweet and helpful thus far has asked me if it’s okay to wear white shoes to the wedding. I gave the bridesmaids some shoe color suggestions but never said they could not wear a particular color, also thought it was very nice that she asked me. I think most of them are either wearing a nude or beige color. I don’t really have a problem with white accessories, my mother on the other hand is saying that no one should wear any kind of white anything especially then bridesmaids. The bridesmaid dresses are a dusty blue color. Is this a huge deal? Does it matter if my bridesmaid have different shoe colors ? To me it does not matter that much, but my mother is saying this bridesmaid might get ridiculed, and would stand out in a bad way if she is wearing white shoes even if I don’t have an issue with it. Not sure what to do in that situation?
