should i see a doctor for tonsil stone?

This is the 2nd time it’s coming back. This morning i woke up with a super dry and irritated throat and some coughings. Light fever as well. Last time i had no ideas about it and thought i caught a cold so just took some OTC medicines and one day i saw this white stone. It came off on its own that time. This time, the symptons are very similar so i looked in the mirror and found this same looking stone.. my breath is normal. Not having a bad breath but my throat is sored 😫

I dont think the stone is the reason for your sore throat, its just occurred at the same time. I would not go to a doctor unless your throat is REALLY swollen and making it difficult to breathe, or if you have white gunk all over your tonsils. Try drinking some tea with a bit of lemon and honey to soothe the soreness.

I get tonsil stones a lot. Especially now after I had a cyst taken out. A flap grew back and I get them seems like every week now. I take a Q tip damper the end and then press them out

You can if you’d like. They’re most likely going to tell you to gargle with salt water. People can get tonsil stones often. If you find that you’re getting them and getting tonsillitis or strep very often, then make an appointment with an ENT. Really, the only solution for tonsil stones is a tonsillectomy, which doctors are often hesitant to do.
