! Desperately need advice and guidance !

It’s time for me and my boyfriend to have our first baby and we just don’t know how to start and where to start besides the obvious fact. I downloaded a bunch of apps to help me to know when i’m ovulating and to let me know when i’m fertile but every app says different things . I ended my period on November 25,2023 and then the next day had sex and then the day and then on the 30th and then we saw another app tell me i’m ovulating so we tried again on December 2 which the claimed was my 1st day of ovulation. I was told 10 days before your period and 10 days after you’re more vulnerable to get pregnant so i’m asking for advice and for guidance. Do we try when i’m fertile or when im ovulating ?
