Potty Training Help & first time mom

My daughter will be 2 in five days - today she woke up and decided she does not want to wear a diaper. If i try to put one on, she fights me. If i get the diaper on, she ends up taking her pants and diaper off. We do have a little toilet for her that we’ve been trying but she just want to wipe herself. I’m a first time mom so I’m not sure what to do with getting her to wear a diaper. I dont exactly want her to have an accident on the floor or couch. Any suggestions or advice would help
