How would you react if your husband never told you he was incarcerated
Me and my husband have been married for 11 years. I thought I knew everything about him. He told me he was abused by his mother. His mom actually went to prison when he was 12 on 5 counts of child abuse and even torture. The things he went through was sick and she's just a monster. What I didn't know was he was sent to juvi when he was 14 for 3 years. I found this out from his cousin. I asked him about it and he said it was true and he's sorry he never told me. He just kind ran from his past and the only person he told was his therapist. I asked why and it's dark. He through HOT OIL IN A WOMEN'S FACE!!! He was put in this home when he was 14 and the women only kept him for the paycheck and to take care of her kids and he said she would talk down to him. Threaten to make him homeless and says he's unlovable. He told me he was cooking her for kids and she was mad that the house wasn't clean and my husband started crying saying how she wouldn't stop putting him down and then she called him worthless which his mom had called him a lot and he threw the pan of oil at her. He started having a panic attack and I helped him calm down. I simply wished he told me. You being incarcerated is something I feel like you tell your spouse. My sister disagrees because she said it would be different if it happened as an adult because it could affect his employment which affects our life but juvenile records are usually sealed away. Would you be okay with your spouse keeping this from me.
