Rehome cat or deal with it?? Advice please

Question

My friend Sarah has an old cat who’s blind, no teeth and pees/throws up everywhere. Her parents said she had to give up the cat, so Sarah decided to move out with the cat instead. She moves into her brother & sister and laws house temporarily. After 7 month of living with them Sarah then moved 2 hours away to be near her family (why…we don’t understand) but left her cat behind because her new house doesn’t allow cats. The SIL wasn’t happy about the cat being left behind. She just went with it because it was a childhood pet and Sarah agreed to pay for food. Now 9 months later SIL is getting more and more frustrated and upset about cat because it keeps peeing all over the (rented) house and throwing up. Sarah isn’t paying without being asked either. SIL also has three other animals in the house (one animal with cancer). Any suggestions with this situation? Sister in law would feel guilty getting rid of the cat because she’s an animal lover and doesn’t want to be the bad guy. I also agree Sarah was in the wrong and shouldn’t put that on her brother and his wife.

Sarah would have one week to come pick up her cat, or I’d take the cat to my vet and have it humanely euthanized. I know that may sound terrible, but the reality is that a cat with those issues would have almost no chance of being adopted. It would be terrified and alone in the shelter until the shelter euthanized it. The cat’ suffering should be minimized/prevented as much as possible. 
Also, Sarah is a garbage human.

It’s Sarah’s problem honestly. Why did she move into a place she couldn’t take the cat?
I’d tell Sarah she either figure out different arrangements for the cat or else they will rehire the cat themselves.

I mean, its a cat not a person. I get we love our pets… but come on. We all kind of know the answer here—let sarah know to come get her cat right now with a conversation about her moral responsibility as a pet owner, or i would take on the moral responsibility myself because this cat has no more quality of life

Her parents told her that she had to give it up so she moved out with the cat . Then proceeds to abandon the cat because the new place doesn’t allow animals ? Make it make sense . This poor baby had no quality of life , Sarah should due what’s best for the animal ! Personally , if the animal is that miserable humanly euthanizing it may be the best option. How heartless of Sarah to abandon her responsibility.
