No. Their lives are drama and unhappiness like all the time. No glamour there.

Not to me. Their stories usually end horribly, they are not usually happy, the parents don't always stay together, the mom gets upset because she didn't get to go to prom or go to college with her friends from high school.

Sure they show that you can make it being a Teen Mom, but they never seem happy.

I've seen more teen pregnancy glamorization around here than on Teen Mom or 16 & Pregnant. 😩

They have actually shown the statistics that show a correlation between states that show the reruns of teen mom and the pregnancy rate going down in those same areas. It's been proven that the show has actually reduced teen pregnancy.

If you have watched them from all their seasons you wouldn't see it as glamour... amber always fought w her kids dad lost her daughter and went to prison, kaytlynn gave her first child up and is having depression and such w the second, Farrah and her mom fight all the time and she's a nasty porn star, and maci has to deal with a baby daddy that is always in trouble with the law... not so much glamour in all that

I'm kind of in between on this one. I think it's kind of terrible how these people get pregnant and they're made famous like its some kind of talent to get fucked? For example, Farrah from teen mom. She was a horrible mom in the shows and as far as I'm concerned, nothing is changed because I constantly see bullshit in the news about her. On the other hand... Teen mom can be kind of positive in a way, too. I've heard so many teen girls talk about how they're trying to get pregnant. The show actually does highlight some (not even all) of the negative things about teen pregnancy. I never wanted to be a teen mom in the first place because I knew the ins and outs of having a child. I knew it would put a damper on my life all around and it helped that my mom educated me about it too, but some girls really need to see it to realize it.

Pretty much my whole family has had kids young 16-18. I've seen if you work hard you can still have a good life, nice car, nice house and have money and raise amazing kids. But ive  also seen the bad side where you aren't in a good place and are on welfare (no judgement if you are on welfare) but I've seen the pros and cons. And I actively avoid becoming pregnant until I am of an age where I have a stable job,own my house and am in a loving committed relationship. Obviously shit happens sometimes bc fails, not everyone has wanted sex and can become pregnant. But I still try my hardest to avoid becoming pregnant. And so far it's worked. I don't like when people glamourise it, my sister has a great life, loving partner two beautiful kids and just has everything going for her. But she does not recommend it at all to anyone (her first was unplanned) 16 worked her ass off for the things she has now. And I just want to avoid that altogether and wait until I am ready. Obviously I hold no judgement I mean my own mum was a teen when she first got pregnant so I know how hard it is to be a kid coming from it. I don't want that for myself and would advise no one does it. Unless you have everything you need and a stable job and stable house. I think it's unfair to try to have kids when you aren't stable in all ways that you can be.
