Is this weird? *UPDATED version*

I posted this earlier but I think it came across wrong.

My boyfriend is kind of an asshole. He’s been pretty unnecessarily and aggressively mean to me lately. We had sex after not having sex for a couple weeks and it was makeup sex for a fight last night where he was mean and made me cry. During sex he was pretty rough and I ended up feeling sore not even an hour later. I told him and he said “good”. I asked why good and he said “he likes hurting me.” When I asked him to explain, he just said “Idk lol”. I just feel weird about it because I feel like if it was just a sexual thing, he’d say “I like rough sex”. But instead, it just sounded… really weird?? Especially since he’s usually (painfully) honest and instead refused to explain something suspicious he said?
