Can the flu cause a missed period?

I have had the flu this past week and my period is 3 days late. Could this be related? I’m panicking.

Anything can mess with your cycle, sickness, diet, age, lack of sleep, exercise, any trauma to the body, vaccinations, car accident, basically, the wind blowing can mess with your cycle, you could’ve ovulated later than the app stated because it’s only an estimate not actual 100% accurate, the best way to actually track your ovulation is with ovulation strips or tracking your daily basil body temperature. Wait a week and take a test, it will give your body time for cycle to come or you may skip it all together, but take a test, wait a week take another test and just wait-and-see that’s all you can do at this point

Ive come to learn that the wind blowing the wrong way can mess up a cycle. For real, anything that puts stress on your body can have an effect on your cycle from stress to sickness and everything in between!
