This sounds like such a middle/high school conversation lol. 
No one really knows. You can say “I would never date again”, but you very well could end up finding someone. 
Regardless, I think being upset by really any answer to such a ridiculous question is dramatic

Lol what kind of question is this? I would want my significant other to find a life partner and be happy. Obvioulsy not right away but i wouldn't expect them to not have anyone else ever.

I won’t say never. I was told I’d never have a child, yet here I hold my 11 week old. If I die prior to my partner, it’s up to him if he dates again. If he’s happy to be single or happy to find a companion. I’d want him to find happiness again. Roles reversed, i would say it’s on how my life plays out to if I date again or not. I would not say I’m never dating again. I have no idea what the future holds.
