TW!! ⚠️ water beads

Any moms had a huge scare with water beads and their little ones? I caught my little one and her cousin with a toy that was ripped and had those water beads in it, i grabbed it and threw it in the trash immediately! I asked if it was consumed which they said no but you never know! So i am still paranoid even after day 4 with no symptoms. Posion control said no need for an ER visit and the pediatrician said to monitor them.

FYI - water beads are jelly like beads that are small but can grow over a period of time in water. They come in all sorts of forms as sensory toys. Though many are labeled as non- toxic, they are highly dangerous and are toxic if swallowed, inhaled or inserted in the ears, especially for babies / toddlers. It Can lead to long term health issues or even death.
