8 week scan, no heartbeat

So I went in for my first ultrasound yesterday. I was at 7 weeks 6 days. They were able to see the fetal pole and yolk sac but said baby is measuring around 6 weeks and no heartbeat ☹️ my cycles are longer (usually about 32 days up to 35) and I know when I ovulated, it was 6 weeks ago to the day. They are having me come back in 12 days to do another scan but told me it doesn’t look good. Anyone have a similar experience that turned out ok? It’s our first pregnancy and we are so nervous playing the waiting game.
