Was told I was weird for MY pets

Got told I was a “weird freak” for having pet birds. I have 2 little parakeets and recently inherited an Amazon parrot (always wanted a parrot as a child but could never afford one). It made me feel bad about myself like there’s something wrong with me because I don’t have the basic little golden doodle dog or cat household…? It’s not like I collect spiders, snakes, or scorpions 🤧 I’ve always been a lover of any bird, they make me happy 😊
