Took my first steps towards running a 5k
I've gotten it in my head that I want to run in our annual 5k in my small town (in a bit over a month). I normally walk a lot with my dog but its usually many short walks not one long walk... and I rarely run outside the elliptical.
Keep in mind I have an episodic disability so my breathing and hip was hurting today AND I had many stops with my doggie, but I walked it in about 1:10.
Anyone have tips about stretching for tight hips? I'll be looking it up too but if any experienced people have tips I'd welcome it.
