Bleeding during early pregnancy

Hi everyone!

I’m in need of some advice and/or reassurance.

I have had some bleeding for about 10 days. It’s not a lot, mostly when I wipe after going to the toilet but still more than just a bit of spotting, and it’s more red than brown. At first I just thought it was a super light period since it started at the same time my period was supposed to start and didn’t even take a pregnancy test. A week after it started I decided on a whim to take a test which came back positive! I’ve taken a test every day since (6 in total) and they have all been positive (although I feel like the line is a bit fainter in the more recent ones, but it might be my worried imagination). This would make me just over 5 weeks pregnant. The bleeding has now stopped but I’m still very anxious and almost sure I’ve had a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy.

Has anyone experienced this or something similar and has still had a successful pregnancy or is this doomed?

(And yes I have contacted a midwife who said to test again a week later after the first positive test to see, but I want to hear from you all)
