Induction at 39 weeks?

My dr said they would induce at 39 weeks if I wanted to. I’ll be 39 weeks this week but idk if that’s being selfish or if I should just wait. I’m mentally over it though. dr did say I had a favorable cervix and this is my 3rd baby so my body should cooperate. I was induced with my 2nd and it was a positive experience.  I’m torn😅

Induction should only be done if there is a medical reason to. Letting labor come on naturally and spontaneously is better than pumping your body of medications that can easily make labor harder and longer. Also drs like to push on induction for their own convenience and control the birth, which is very wrong. Baby should always have full control of when to arrive,

Personally I wouldn’t be induced unless medically necessary due to potential increased need for medical interventions

I’ve had 5 babies and I was induced with 3/5. I went into labor the day before my induction with my 4th and I went into labor with my 5th as well.
