Pelvic rest - cervical check?

Anyone know how doctors check cervix length if you are on pelvic rest? My doctor is very adamant about nothing going into my vagina...

Same here and they never want to check. They try and looka through the ultrasound but they cant get a good enough view. Its hard because I want to kniw what my cervix is doing but they do not want to look. They said they will have to see eventually probably at 24 weeks. I am 22 weeks this week but its hard because i am at high risk of pre term labor so i want to know now! Ughh

They can see it through an ultrasound. I've had mine checked every time through an ultrasound since I've been on pelvic rest since the beginning of my pregnancy... I'm 20 weeks now.

The can do it abdominally. I've had both ways done. I go every week but get a vaginal one done now. They told me it wasn't as accurate doing it abdominally but they could do it for you to get a ballpark and see if it warrants further concerns or testing.
