Have you ever accidentally hurt your kid?

Looking for stories so I don’t feel so alone. Just zipped my baby’s skin in her zipper by accident and I feel awful. She cried so much. Ugh. This is only three days after accidentally bumping her head on the bathroom door.

My oldest I clipped his leg as I was buckling him up 🤦‍♀️ and my middle I cut his nail too close and cut him 😢

Yeah! As a new mom I clipped my oldest's nails too short, she jerked, and she bled a lot. It happened a few times and I started filing her nails instead. I've accidently shut fingers in car doors, the freezer, drawers, zippers, ect. It happens. I'm constantly accidentally knocking my kids over with my ass. My husband accidently dropped our oldest from 6 feet onto her face. He was half asleep, it was pitch black, and he picked her up to comfort her and she slipped out of his hands when she was at shoulder level with him. Had to take her to the hospital for bleeding and to check for a concussion. She had a black eye for 2 weeks. My husband held her for the next 3 days and kept crying everytime he looked at her because he felt so bad.

Yes accidents happen i accident hit my son with the car door while trying to open it i told him move and thought he did and bam but lucky it wasn’t hard .. i felt so bad he cried and said my head i apologized

I’ve accidentally zipper my son’s calf into his boots, tummy into jacket zippers, etc. I’ve also accidentally scratched him with my wedding ring, nails, closed his hand in a sliding door, just yesterday his fingers got caught in the freezer door, and I’ve accidentally tripped him while walking too closely behind him before. Little accidents happen, and both my son and I are very accident prone people. Just comfort when it does happen and apologize so they know that it’s important to own mistakes.

I’ve accidentally smashed their little fingers in the dresser drawers. I scratched my 1 year olds face the other day when he lunged into my thumb. I’ve bonked their heads on the car door.

Yes, tried to get my then 2 year old to get of the side of the pavement - ended up loosing my balance and taking him with me when i fell. Ended up in the urgen care as his forhead got a 3cm wound that needed to be glued and stripsed. Yes there was blood everywhere. Today he is 6 years old and.you cant see a scar.
